Potenza RF Microneedling Post-Treatment Instructions
- Book your next Potenza treatment to continue building collagen and elastin, this will ensure long-lasting tighter skin, more even skin tone, improved skin texture and provides anti-aging benefits (prevention of fine lines/wrinkles).
- Do not scrub or exfoliate the skin. Remember – it needs to heal.
- Wash the area with warm water and a mild cleanser – we highly recommed the Beautiful Energy Skin Cleanser which is formulated for all energy based skin treatments and safe to use before and immediately after treatment.
- Do not apply liquid makeup for 24 hours; mineral makeup is acceptable after the erythema (redness) resolves. Be sure to apply makeup with clean brushes to avoid spreading bacteria to the treated area. Your skin is healing from micro-injury and we do not want you to get an infection.
- If erythema after treatment persists, use an ice pack or cool compresses at home, but always use a protective barrier, such as a facecloth, between the skin and the ice pack.
- Always wash your hands thoroughly before touching your face: there are micro-pathways opened into the dermis and hands will introduce bacteria.
- If skin feels tight or dry, apply moisturizing cream frequently. We highly recommend the Beautiful Energy Skin Care Serum for use before and after your Potenza RF Treatments – this line is formulated to heal, soothe, hydrate and repair skin during laser and radiofrequency skin treatments. We often have samples available.
- If you currently have skin breakouts, you may find that the condition may temporarily worsen due to inflammation or edema.
- Do not pick at treated tissue: doing so may result in hyper- or hypopigmentation.
- Avoid ultraviolet rays and apply mineral based SPF UVA/UVB daily. You can purchase this in clinic.
- Avoid alcohol consumption to prevent worsening of redness and swelling.
- For 24 hours, refrain from high intensity aerobic exercise or activities that increase the body temperature like saunas, hot tubs, steam showers or exercise (i.e., jogging, weight training, kickboxing, etc.).
Expections After Treatment:
Use of the Post-Treatment soothing mask will help minimize redness, cool the skin, and provide hydration to the treatment area.
The AnteAGE Exosomes applied after treatment will speed recovery and minimize redness to assist with rapid cellular repair.
Erythema (redness) may occur after the treatment, lasting a few hours and up to 3 days.
Tissue may be adematous (swollen) for a few hours up to several days after deeper treatments. Bleeding is very scant, temporary, and is typically resolved by the end of your visit.
Overtreated areas may heal with small areas of micro crusting or scabbing. This is normal. Do not pick or rub the area.
You may feel a temporary tingling in the treated areas – this typically resolves within 48 hours.
Call if any problems develop: concerns regarding rash, itching, erythema, etc., for more than 24 hours (360) 852-1672.
If you need to seek immediate medical attention – please call your doctor or go to Urgent Care.
Please call/text us with any questions at (360) 852-1672.
We look forward to seeing your beautiful results!
Neurotoxin Post-Treatment Instructions
For the first 6 hours after injections, remain upright. Do not stay in any fixed position other than upright until more than 6 hours post injection.
- Avoid hot tubs, saunas, and execise after your injections.
- Avoid rubbing, massaging, touching and manipulating the treated areas for 6 hours.
- Avoid alcohol consumption for 6 hours.
- The redness and marks on the treated areas will likely disappear within a few hours. There is a risk of bruising that may last up to 2 weeks. Bruise cream with Vitamin K and Arnica may be applied if bruising should occur. Arnica Montana supplements can be taken in the event that you bruise during injections, these are safe and can be found in most stores or online.
Expect a follow up text or message from your Provider in a week in case you need a touch up on areas that aren’t fully relaxed.
Touch ups are quite common until your Provider learns how your muscles move and we can fine tune your results.
If you require a touch-up visit, please schedule it within 2 weeks of your initial injections so you can get optimal results for the 3-4 months duration of botox.
*Schedule your next botox visit 3 months from now to maintain your wrinkle free look!
Filler Post-Treatment Instructions
Immediately After Treatment:
- Minor discomfort is expected after HA or PRP/PRF filler placement which resolves within 2 weeks.
- Swelling, bruising, tenderness, numbness, and areas of firm nodules or “bumps” may occur as the filler integrates with your tissue. Cold packs can be used for comfort.
- Cosmetic fillers are long lasting, but not permanent. If you opted for PRP/PRF filler you will get more lasting results due to the growth factors and proteins from using your own PRP/PRF. Longevity depends on the areas treated and your body’s metabolism. Typically HA fillers maintain thier peak effect for up to 9 months and then are slowly metabolized.
- DO NOT APPLY ANYTHING TO THE SKIN UNTIL THE DAY AFTER TREATMENT (24 Hours): Check with the injector to ensure your cleansers, moisturizers, and makeup are safe to use.
- DO NOT massage, touch, or manipulate the injection site. Avoid heavy exercise the day of your treatment.
- Cold packs may be used to the treated area during the first 12 hours. Cold pack for 15 minutes on every hour. Please use a barrier between the cold pack and your skin. DO not use ICE as it can damage the skin and decrease healing.
- Avoid sleeping on your side or stomach for 24 hours post-treatment to prevent dispersing the product. We recommend you sleep elevated on your back and use pillows to stabilize yourself. Minor swelling may occur overnight but will diminish throughout the day.
- If you experience swelling, sleep with head elevated for 2-3 days. Cold packs may be used for comfort.
- You may take acetaminophen/Tylenol if you experience any mild tenderness or discomfort.
- Wait a minimum of four weeks (or as directed by your provider) before receiving any skin care or laser treatments, there are exceptions: you can have HA filler after Potenza microneedling in the same visit.
- For most patients, the benefits of dermal fillers can be enhanced by using a medical-grade skin care system to protect your investment. We carry medical grade skin care that is formulated with plant based ingredients, pH balanced, safe, soothing, and hydrating for skin that has undergone energy or injectable rejuvenation treatments (Beautiful Energy, Ethereal and Hydrinity are safe to use both Before & After your treatments).
- If you experience bruising, Arnica Montana, a natural supplement can be taken to help bruising resolve at a faster rate. Take 2 tablets 2 times per day (this can be started 1 week prior to injections). Anica Montana is even availble on Amazon, if you cannot find it at your local store. Your Provider also carries a mositurizing Bruise Relief Cream that contains Arnica Montana and Vitamin K, which will decrease the discoloration and speed the healing and minimize discoloration if you are prone to bruising – this product is safe to use several times a day post-injection and after Potenza RF Microneedling.
- If you experience any of the following symptoms, contact our office immediately: dusky or white discoloration of injected areas, mottling or unusual bruising, severe or increasing pain, redness, increasing warmth or coolness to touch, severe swelling, itching, blisters, difficulty swallowing or smiling, fever, or chills. Vascular occlusions are rare but can become a life-threatening emergency – call your Provider if you have any signs/symptoms above – treatment involves “reversal” injections to dissolve the HA filler to restore blood flow in the occluded vessel. Again, this is incredibly rare, but very serious. This complication is even more rare if you opted for PRP/PRF filler.
- If you notice onset of any of these symptoms, call our office immediately at (360) 852-1672.
Please look for a text or email follow-up from your Provider in a week or two to see how you are doing, unless you are scheduled for a follow-up visit. We want to ensure you are healing well.
We hope you love your refreshed new look!
Hair Restoration Post-Treatment Instructions
DO NOT WASH HAIR POST-TREATMENT for 24 hours.
Stay hydrated with plenty of water.
Avoid saunas, hot tubs, and strenuous exercise and workouts for 24 hours.
After 24 hours, you may use a gentle Baby shampoo. DO NOT rub, scrub, or apply any tonics, hair gels, or topical medications for up to one week post-treatment. You need to allow your scalp to heal.
You can expect to have some redness and even some bumpiness over the treated areas. The redness resoves quickly within hours and looks like you were out in the sun. The bumps are from the injections, and can last several days, but is barely noticeable – and may even feel tender. This is normal. You can expect to still go have a normal day post-treatment while following all the post care instructions.
When the local anesthetic wears off, you may notice tingling or soreness at the treatment site area – do not sractch or rub the area.
You may notice some hair loss initially after treatment – this is due to the new hair shafts pushing out the old hair – trust the process.
You need at least 6 inital treatments, scheduled 4-6 weeks apart to see the best results.
Maintenance treatments should resume at 3 months after monthly treatments are completed – and depending on your results you should plan to repeat treatments every 3-6 months – which you and your injector will discuss which time frame is best for your individual needs. Ongoing maintenance of hair growth requires PRP treatments at a minimum of once a year to prevent hair loss reoccurrence.
Consider using the AnteAGE Home Hair microneedling kit to continue hair restoration treatment at home. We have these in clinic. The serum contains growth factors and peptide that promote healthy hair growth.
Consider using a DHT-blocking shampoo on a regular basis, our provider can recommend ones that are budget friendly and actually work.
Monthly Keravive scalp treatments in our office can cleanse away buildup around the hair folicles and infuse peptides and botanicals that promote healthier hair growth. It includes a take home spray that can be used daily for optimal outcomes.
Please schedule your treatments ahead of time so you don’t have a lapse in treatment – we want you to have the best results.
Feel free to call/text us with any questions you have (360) 852-1672.
Thank You! We look forward to seeing you soon.
VI Peel Post-Treatment Instructions
DAY 1:
Immediately following the chemical facial peel, skin may look light yellow, red, or tan. This is due to the Retinoic Acid included in the formulation. It is temporary until you can wash your face in 6 hours. Your skin may feel tighter initially before the peeling begins. As a rule, treat it like a sunburn: avoid sun exposure, avoid sweating, avoid heat.
Please wash your skin with a gentle cleanser after 4 hours (DO NOT USE HOT WATER). Wash using only your fingertips – do not vigorously rub your face or use a washcloth.
You may apply a thin layer of Post Treatment Repair Cream (this is included in your Post Treatment Kit) as needed. If the cream is irritating to your skin you can substitute a thin layer of Aquaphor (available at most retail stores). Please use sparingly – it could hinder your peeling process.
PLEASE DO NOT USE YOUR REGULAR MOISTURIZER – Use your Post Treatment Kit as directed to obtain the optimal results of your treatment and investment into your skin.
Apply SPF if it is daylight or cloudy outside. We carry medical grade SPF formulated with healing and soothing botanicals (green tea, aloe, chamomile, citrus, and kudzu vine) for your skin after a facial chemical peel. Proper daily use of SPF is insurance against UVA/UVB damage and premature aging of your skin. Use up the mineral/botanical SPF included in your kit. Do not apply chemical SPF.
One hour before bed, wash your face with the gentle cleanser included in your kit (DO NOT USE HOT WATER), pat dry well, and apply one of the post peel towelettes to the treated areas.
If you experience extreme itchiness or irritation, wash with cool water – no soaps – and follow your Post Treatment Kit instructions.
The towelettes included in your Post Treatment Kit provide additional stimulation of the skin and expedite the peeling process. All towelettes should be used within the first 48 hours.
DAY 2:
Cleanse skin with the cleanser in your kit and gently pat dry (DO NOT USE HOT WATER).
Continue to apply a light layer of the post peel protectant and SPF.
Apply the included mineral/botanical SPF after every application of post peel protectant during daylight hours.
One hour before bed, wash your face with the cleanser in your kit (DO NOT USE HOT WATER), dry well and apply one of the post peel towelettes to the peeled areas. If you experience extreme itchiness or irritation, wash with cool water. Wash using your fingertips only, no washcloths or abrasive loofahs.
DAYS 3-5:
You will start the peeling process by seeing a slight sloughing of the skin around the mouth area. Pulling the skin can result in permanent scarring or cause bleeding or hyperpigmentation. Peeling typically start around the mouth and areas of the face that have more movement.
Refrain from picking or pulling at the skin during this process. Never force or peel the skin off in sheets. Picking at the skin can cause scarring and damamge the new skin that is under the top layer. You may use scissors to “trim” off large pieces of peeled off skin safely.
If you are excessively dry or irritated when peeling occurs, add a light layer of Aquaphor to provide a protective barrier and drink plenty of water to stay hydrated.
DAYS 6-10:
Continue to treat the skin gently and do not scrub.
Most exfoliation has subsided by now. Typically, peeling begins on the third day starting around the mouth then peeling outward. The forehead and neck will be the last areas to peel.
-Do not put the face directly into a hot shower until at least 7 days after peeling subsides.
-Do not use a steam room, jacuzzi, or sauna until at least 7 days after peeling subsides.
-Do not go swimming until at least 7 days after peeling subsides.
-Do not participate in activities that would cause excessive perspiration until at least 7 days post procedure (excessive perspiration early in treatment could cause blistering).
-Do not use mechanical exfoliation (loofah or facial machine brush) until at least 2 weeks post procedure.
POST PEEL:
Resuming Skin Care Products: Non-active topicals can be resumed once peeling has subsided, usually day 6-7. Active skin medications can be resumed once peeling has subsided and sensitivity has returned to normal, usually day 7-10.
Resuming Physical Activity: Refrain for 6-8 days after peel application, inducing excessive perspiration can lead to blisters.
It is recommended to wait for a minimum of 2 weeks before any treatment that creates exfoliation of the skin (facials, extractions, waxing, and threading). Consult with your Provider for other treatment options.
VI Peels should be scheduled every 4-6 weeks (for best results).
Please call/text us if you have any questions: (360)852-1672.
Happy Peeling!!

Avoid the use of aggressive exfoliation, waxing, and products containing glycolic acids or retinols for a minimum 2 weeks pre- and post-treatment.

Sculptra Post-Treatment Instructions
Please review the 5x5x5 massage procedure instructions at the bottom of this page to ensure optimal results after Sculptra.
Ice (but avoid firm pressure) for 15 minutes 3 times the day of treatment. Use a clean cloth barrier between the ice pack and your skin.
You may take Acetaminophen/Tylenol if you experience any mild tenderness or discomfort.
After treatment there will be moderate swelling and redness with possibility of bruising. These symptoms will resolve in about 7 days. You may apply or take Arnica tablets to help decrease the amount of bruising. Your provider may send you home with bruise relief cream to use if needed.
Avoid extended UV exposure until any redness/swelling has subsided. Apply 30+ SPF.
Avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours to reduce bruising. You may resume other normal activities/routines immediately after treatment.
Avoid laser, IPL, or Potenza RF microneedling skin tightening treatments of the area for at least 2-3 weeks.
DO NOT have any facial treatments for 2 weeks after injections.
You may continue your usual topical products 1 week after injection.
How to perform the manual 5x5x5 massage required for post treatment care:
Using gentle pressure and just the fingertips, massage areas 5 times a day for 5 minutes each time in an upwards motion, for the next 5 days or more to reduce chance of nodule formation occurring as product begins to work. If you were given bruise relief cream, use a small amount as a glide during massage to help diminish any possible brusing.
You will see the full results of your Sculptra in 3 months and the results last up to 2 years, often longer.
Please contact your provider with any questions at (360) 852-1672.
Radiesse Post-Treatment Instructions
Immediately following the treatment session with RADIESSE dermal filler:
Redness, bruising or swelling may occur in the treatment area. These signs usually go away in a short period and are generally mild in nature.
Ice (but avoid firm pressure) for 15 minutes 3 times the day of treatment. Use a clean cloth barrier between the ice pack and your skin.
For approximately 24 hours after treatment:
Avoid significant movement or massage of the treated area.
Do not apply makeup for 24 hours. You may continue your usual topical products 1 week after injection.
Avoid extensive sun or heat exposure until any redness/swelling has subsided. Apply 30+ SPF.
After you leave the office, you may experience redness, bruising or swelling for a few days. Not everyone experiences this, but please note that such effects can occur and are not out of the ordinary. You may be able to feel the area where RADIESSE dermal filler was injected for some period after injection. Over time, the injected area will feel more and more like your own tissue.
Most feel comfortable going back to their normal activities immediately after treatment with RADIESSE dermal filler.
How many treatments are required? Your provider will decide with you the number of treatment sessions and the amount of RADIESSE dermal filler you will need at each treatment session. Generally, significant changes may be achieved in 1-2 treatments. A touch-up may be required to achieve optimal results.
Without touch-up injections, how will my skin look? Your skin will begin to gradually look like it did before treatment as you near the end of the time period RADIESSE dermal filler usually lasts. Periodic touch up injections will help you maintain the look you have after treatment.
What other things do I need to know? The microspheres in RADIESSE dermal filler can be seen in X-rays and CT Scans. It is very important that you inform your doctor and other health care professionals that you have RADIESSE dermal filler and where it is placed. Even though RADIESSE dermal filler can be seen in X-rays and CT Scans, there is not a high risk that it would cause your doctor concern, as long as s/he knows that you have had RADIESSE dermal filler injected and where it was placed.
Avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours to reduce bruising. You may resume other normal activities/routines immediately after treatment.
Avoid laser, IPL, or skin tightening treatments of the area for at least 2-3 weeks.
DO NOT have any facial treatments for 1 week after injections.
Please call/text our provider with any questions at (360) 852-1672.
We hope to see you again soon!
